Mittwoch im Dezember 2020. Die Restaurants dürfen nur noch bis 19.00 Uhr geöffnet haben und man weiss nicht, ob noch schärfere Massnahmen beschlossen werden. Obwohl dieses Damoklesschwert über der Schweizer Gastronomie hängt, gibt die Brigade in der Küche alles. Wir entschieden uns als Vorspeise für Salate. Sowohl der Nüsslisalat (mit Speck, Croutons und Ei) als auch der gemischte Blattsalat kam mit einem ausgewogenen, passenden Dressing. Das Chateaubriand in zwei Gängen serviert schmeckte exzellent und Rehrücken bzw. Loup de mer wurden nur gelobt. Die Dessertvariation tönte zwar verlockend aber war dann doch zu viel, so dass wir uns für eine einfachere Variante entschieden. Das zuvorkommend...
It was probably one of the last days of the year when we could sit in the lovely garden of the restaurant for lunch and enjoy the great view while drinking wine and having excellent food. One more time we were lucky enough to get fresh pike from the lake of Zug. My preferred way is in „Bierteig“ (beer batter) it tasted just great. My friends all had fish dishes and they all were pleased. So the four of us had a delightful afternoon and with all the kind attention we got from the service personnel we had no complaints at all. Everybody was happy.
Ich hatte das 5-Gang Überraschungsmenü gewählt. Es gab 2x Vorpseisen, 1x Hauptgang, 1x Käse-Variation und 1x Dessert. Damit weitere Gäste weiterhin überrascht sind, werde ich nicht schreiben was es gab : Die Qualität und Auswahl der Gerichte war hervorragend. Die Portionen waren auch genügend. Der Service war ok, zum Teil etwas längere Wartezeiten. Auch war dem Service einmal nicht klar was der nächste Gang ist, da vor dem Dessert noch der Käse kam. Aber die Gerichte haben diese Unachtsamkeiten definitiv weggemacht.
First time visit today for dinner and must say we were amazed by the quality of the food! You could taste the freshness in every single ingredient placed on the plate! Really really well done to the chef who came up with the Menü and the execution of it! Service was also very good, nice friendly owner of the place checking from time to time if we are ok. A place to visit and a must! This unique restaurant in the middle of the nature, overlooking the lake of Zug offers an excellent service, with a magnific entourage, the dishes like the Zurcher Kalbgeschnetzeltes with Rösti, one of the best dishes I ever had is a must. The dessert symphony is unique and worth to leave a space for the dessert. Excellent service and attention, a place to share and enjoy, bravo!
We live near by and we have been already 2 times in this restaurant. From the food to the service everything is just really high quality! The food cooked to perfection and the staff super friendly and attentive! Cannot think of one thing that we did not enjoy! The price is also fair for what you actually get! Highly recommended and we will for sure be back!
