I haven't been to this restaurant in a long time due to financial reasons, but once again, I was disappointed with my meal and the service. I dined here yesterday, December 26th, on a first date. We ordered drinks and food, but my meal was served lukewarm. My companion's meal was okay, but it was different from what we had ordered as it had bacon and cheese added to it. Despite being hungry, no one checked on our table, even though there were only four other customers in the restaurant. The waitress cleared our plates without asking if everything was okay. Been meaning to come here for ages and I cannot explain how glad I am that I finally did. The staff are SO lovely Leanne served us and was really friendly and bubbly. I didn’t catch the gentleman’s name who greeted us at the door but he was also really kind and welcoming. The restaurant is so nice and relaxed, warm atmosphere and just really chilled. The food was absolutely amazing Leanne recommended the mozzarella and caramelised onion garlic bread which was incredible. We got two pasta dishes, the carbonara and the piri piri chicken penne. A disastrous date night. First issue is when we ordered drinks, 35 mins later they still hadn’t arrived and after 3 times of chasing these the supervisor came over to us and apologised that the manager forgot to put these in the system. No apology from the manager at all (in fact he walked past us and ignored us as you could tell he felt embarrassed). Another 20 mins after this, our food still hadn’t arrived and the supervisor came over to us again and apologised that this had been missed and offered to discount our food, again no apology from the so called manager. It was my 55th birthday .we had booked a table for 7pm with my family of 8 ppl.we arrived at 7.15 pm we told that all orders for meals need to be in as the kitchen closes at 8.30pm.That just spoilt my mood straight away we couldn't relax at all to have a nice family birthday meal evening on my birthday. Hour later was told that the drinks bar is closed too .we had to rush our meals the portions were very small and very expensive felt very uncomfortable under pressure with alot of tension!!I well unstaffed just wanted to go home ! My experience at lunchtime today was very disappointing. I ordered 2 Philly Cheese Steaks with Fries, but both sets of fries were cold. The sandwiches were served on rock hard toasted bread with cold cheese and very spicy beef that I could still taste at 7pm after only taking one bite. I eventually asked to just pay for our drinks, but then was asked if we wanted desserts or coffees a few minutes later. I had to remind them about our drinks bill and was surprised to see a service charge added to the bill. At that point, I just wanted to leave so I paid and left. It was a terrible experience and I will not be returning to any Wildwood restaurants again.
Table of 8 ate here on Saturday. Service was a bit slow considering there weren’t many people in there. Ordered our food which was slightly disappointing to say the least , spaghetti carbonara which I think had been sitting on the hot plate for quite some time but was also quite tasteless also a small portion , my granddaughter had pasta and that was a much bigger portion. My grandchildren did enjoy the kids menu food . We had to chase for a bottle of water for the table . My daughter and I had tiramisu for dessert which wasn’t very nice had little to no taste so overall a disappointing visit .
Literally the only customers eating but didn’t want to offer the lunch menu at 4:50pm! Needed to take drinks order first, then came back to the table at 4:57 and couldn’t put it through in time as the system shuts off! Absolute joke. So paid £19 for lasagne and a drink when i could of had lasagne and another course for £11:95! I won’t be going again and neither will my colleagues. I get it if it was getting busy or if she had tried or even asked the question so it’s a no if your in after 4:30 don’t bother ordering from the lunch menu. Lasagne was microwaved anyway.
I must admit that the restaurant was packed with customers. However, it took more than 45 minutes for our food to be served, and when it finally arrived, it was evident that it had been sitting under the heat lamps for a long time. The pasta was dry and clumped together, and the ham on the pizza resembled cardboard. I have had larger burgers at McDonald's for a fraction of the price, and the meal only consisted of the burger and fries with no side of coleslaw or anything to make it more appealing.
