Wilhelmina's - Reserva de mesa

This place was opened a couple of years ago by a former contestant on master chef and it is one of my favourite restaurants in my all time fav Sydney suburb balmain. The menu changes regularly and the dishes are best shared all immaculately presented with interesting flavors and top quality local ingredients. The place is effectively split in two with one area having lounge spots and the impressive floor to ceiling bar and the other closer to the kitchen if you are lucky enough sit infront of the chefs and engage in some banter and of course buy them a drink or two! We have eaten here and had a function as well. Every experience has been wonderful. Our function went smoothly and couldn't have been a better experience. Any communication was prompt and courteous. The food was amazing and the service was impeccable. The staff on the night did a fantastic job of ensuring everyone always had a drink and got plenty of food, without being intrusive. I needed to stack a cake on site a few hours before we were due and that was no problem. I can't speak highly enough of the staff and management and I would definitely recommend Wilhelmina's for a great coffee, a meal or a stress free special occasion.

A pre dinner drink is an indulgence that we love to experience when time permits. Sometimes these turn into much more as once you settle in it can be hard to actually leave. We were in picturesque Balmain and dropped in at a quaint bar called Wilhelmina’s. A bar means drinks and we decided on a couple of cocktails. The list here is good and they also offer to make any traditional cocktail you may want. This flexibility is great to see. We ordered an espresso martini a classic and one called “between the sheets” which was a lovely tangy combination of brandy, Cointreau, white rum and lemon.

Interesting bar and really good food. We chose from the bar menu and restaurant menu. Pork croquettes were really good, whilst the heirloom tomato salad was so tasty. Split roasted corn cob the real surprise. I could 've eaten another 2 or 3 of those puppies. Meringue 'mess ' failed to deliver as a dessert though. Mixologist working hard to create funky cocktails. Coconut Olde Traditional my fave.<br/ <br/ Definitely an older, more subdued but stylish crowd. Dropped in to Wilhelmina's for a lazy Sunday afternoon very late brunch/lunch. From the initial croissant and coffee we moved onto the Sunday lunch special of lamb backstrap off the BBQ. This was absolutely delicious tender and moist and cooked medium rare to perfection. A serious surprise and delight. Accompanying salads on the plate were a mixed bag unfortunately with the coleslaw was big fail. The ambience and decor is relaxing and lends itself pretty well to kicking back with drinks, food and friends. Certainly works on a sunny Sunday afternoon.

What a great place! I had a lunch meeting with a client and not being familiar with Balmain (I'm from Melbourne) I asked her to chose the place and boy am I pleased she chose here. Super cute place, great service and awesome food. We both had the Chili Roasted  Pumpkin and it was delish! To top it all off, when I realised I had misplaced my receipt Dan was really kind and tracked down a copy for me and emailed it through lifesaver! Thanks Dan and crew at Whilhelmina's I will be back.

We stumbled upon Wilhelmina whilst looking for breakfast in Balmain.  All hands up for my new favourite brunch spot. The food, coffee, staff, interior and the atmosphere couldn’t fault a thing. Expect maybe the bread. We ordered the mushroom, goat cheese and poached egg dish and the trout with smashed avocado and a poached egg. The extensive alcohol wall has me adding it to my must ‘visit for a cocktail’ list.

Amazing birthday brunch. Bae’s birthday brekkie. Located on Darling St on the bend, in-between a lot of other cafes. It was not busy on a Saturday morning for brunch. We were seated straight away. Reserva una mesa ahora

Great food, whilst not quite hitting the heights it could have! Owner/ manager had great personality, some of the service staff, hit and miss

Yummy Cool this place is always buzzy, great sustainable wine list, tasty food, great interiors, nice staff I'm happy will go back for more.
