on Thursday evening 28. juli 2016 we visited the rest of windegg, rorschacherberg. we were looking forward to a cozy evening. dense clouds and bright sunshine changed. for the apero we decided on the basis of the clouds for a table outside the set sun sail. the clouds and the sun burned from the sky. Unfortunately, no sunshades were available outside the mentioned sunshade, so we saw ourselves forced to change the table and pick up a shaded place. we ordered the dinner and mentioned at the same time that we changed the table due to the sun. in the demand that the food has tasted, this was not a thing of us; the vine meat salad, which was not fed, does not taste it, for it is not a vine meat...
a shame that such invaders are allowed to manage at all.A hahnenwasser for 4,50 CHF!!I wanted to order a panache. the service employee said, however, that there would be no open-minded and I should mix it with water. When I then ordered water, she insisted that I order the mineral water that is payable, but I denied it. At the end we were presented a bill with the 4.50 chf mineral water. so loudly that all could hear it, the owner said: Did they not have any money to afford the water? and anyway the place would be a lot too bad for us! also he did not know us in the opposite to the other guests and he could also demand 8 francs for the hahnenwasser! what else to say? You can only be ashamed...
the restaurant windegg is simply a dream. I've been there more often. in the summer with beautiful view and dreamy sunsets over the lake and in winter in the cozy dining room with fine fondue or raclette. again and again I invite friends there to eat. the service is very friendly and attentive. the first quality and lovingly prepared. also special wishes are taken into account. the host family is attentive and with great use too super services ready when in summer the terrace is full with guests and no more space is free. I would recommend the windegg at any time. you can just escape some hours from everyday
We found by chance this modest restaurant with its terrace with a grandiose panorama on the lake of constance by walking us from heiden to rorschach. After 1h10 walking, it was an opportunity to take a well-deserved glass accompanied by an aperitif plank. warm welcome, very correct prices, extraordinary panorama. easily accessible also by train from the stope wartensee of the train connecting rorschach to heiden. From the restaurant, you then need 40 minutes walk to rorschach.

I and my colleague just came back from dinner and everything we can say is excellent service and excellent food. the restaurant is located in a beautiful wooden house with a great environment and more beautiful view. I highly recommend paying a visit! family-run and...they are all smiles from the moment they get in. we will be back in a definitiv.

rude and arrogantes personal. can't book tables, it looks like only regular. had to leave the assigned table under a tree from the view. to let the staff be misused loud enough so that others could hear. I would not only express this restaurant for the prospects.

with beautiful weather to sit in the garden and looking at the bottom lake is wonderful. both at the service and at the food there is nothing to be replaced.
