This was my first time dining at this establishment. Our party of three was greeted upon entering the bar area and sat at a high top table at the rear of the bar. Server Lisa handed us menus and immediately took our beverage order. Upon her return, we each ordered a Surf, shrimp scampi, and Turf, filet mignon, and clam chowder in lieu of salad. Despite the bar and surrounding tables being full, we were able to have conversations without raising our voices to hear each other. Dinner was served, and we found each order cooked as we requested. I’ll say service was 5 star. The meal was maybe 2. I’m disappointed. I had heard good things about Windward Tavern for some time now and have been meaning to visit. The onion soup tasted of salt that’s it just salt. There were maybe two pieces of onion in there. I ordered the 14 oz NY strip. Said medium rare to medium. It came out medium well to well done. Cut into it and it was dry as a bone and tasteless. I topped it with the butter from the bread basket, it didn’t help. I’m not big on steak sauces, but covered this in it to get enough moisture to eat it without choking. I had hoped for better in a local restaurant with so many rave reviews.
We recently dined at Windward Tavern for the third time and once again had a fantastic experience. The food was delicious, the staff was friendly and knowledgeable, and the atmosphere was great. We were fortunate to have Barbara as our waitress again, as she always makes us feel at home. Even when ordering takeout, the service is top-notch. We enjoyed the mussels and empanadas, both of which were delicious. Though we forgot to snap photos of our meal. I had the French onion soup while my husband had the chili, and we both ordered the pork tenderloin. Everything was perfect, and we had plenty of leftovers for lunch the next day.
I would not recommend dining here. To start, we ordered blackened filet bites, which were the saltiest things I’ve ever had. I ordered a burger for dinner, which had a piece of paper inside the burger. Finally, we ordered two ginger-ale sodas and the drinks were flat. To top this experience off, we received no compensation for the experience/meal. Terrible experience and we will not be returning.

The wings are over the top our waitress barbara was excellent definitely coming back my new place for wings Chicken Valdastano- breaded chicken cutlet, stuffed with mozz cheese and pan fried topped with mushrooms, caramelized onions marsala sauce, served over linguine.
Great place for lunch or a cozy, romantic, or family dinner. They have everything that makes it a perfect place to enjoy food and company. The food is always amazing. Service is excellent and servers are always on top of things without hovering over you. 10 out of 10
Dinner for two at this restaurant was exceptional. We ordered the Grilled Salmon and Fried Seafood platter, both of which were outstanding. Our server Mort and the kitchen team were top-notch. I have dined here multiple times and will definitely be back. Well done!
Wow! I got the hot roast beef sandwich and oh my goodness I couldn't find the bread lol. The chocolate martini was also just as amazing. My best friend and I will definitely be back. The atmosphere is a 10 also very cute little place.

4 of us went to dinner. Drinks appetizers were so good. And our dinners were amazing. Chicken Parm. Chicken fran. Smothered pork chops. NY Sirloin. All cooked to perfection. Great waitress. No complaints
Eating with my family at this restaurant was a pleasant experience. The food was delicious and the service was friendly. We were happy that we stopped here for a meal.
