Wintzell's Oyster House

I had the lowland bowl at this visit. It was really well seasoned and I enjoyed the meal. It was more than what I could eat at a meeting, which is unusual for me. My wife had a dozen fried oysters. She finished her meal before me. She said that was some of the best fried oysters she had for a long time.

Great food, good service, met the owner, great Guy,, lots of stories. make time to go eat here if passing thru town. Have photos but trouble loading from camera.

I spent close to 50$ (w/ tip) by myself but it encompassed the Redfish Bienville, a dozen farm fresh oysters, and their wonderful and delicious bread pudding.

This is a Family favorite. I am a Soldier and always eat there when I go home. I love the gumbo.

Food and service was good. I recommend the Oyster Sampler Platter and the Crab Claw Basket.
