Bistro Am Dom - Reservar una mesa

Wir haben dieses Lokal hier schon häufiger gelobt. Und, wir waren wirklich häufig hier. So auch am vergangenen Wochenende, als wir wieder mal in Wetzlar waren und natürlich im "Wirt am Dom" reserviert haben. Das Wetter war sommerlich und die Außenterrasse gedeckt. So weit - so gut. So ging es aber leider nicht weiter. Erst kam einmal die falsche Vorspeise an. Statt des bestellten Fischcarpaccios (drei Sorten Fisch) gab es Lachscarpaccio. Und das, obwohl das eigentlich Bestellte durchaus hätte serviert werden können, wie wir später erfuhren. Das Hauptgericht war dann nahezu ungenießbar. I’m giving 5 stars because of their flexible and friendly service. We arrived at 10:30 pm on Sunday evening after a delayed flight from Frankfurt. Without exception every other restaurant was closed most German restaurants close their kitchens at 9:30pm but not only...were they open but they welcomed us in! The menu looks very good, I opted for a simple pizza with Rucola and prosciutto. The rucola was fresh and the pizza was very good. A glass of open house red wine (Primitivo; no vineyard or year was given) was also a good match to the pizza. Dinner for 2 including wine €34 In all a very enjoyable experience.

I visit the Leica Company in Wetzlar few times a year. Just 50 meters from Luciano reastaurant (the Wirt am Dom) ,there is the Leica Shop of my best friend , Lars Netopil , and often we all go together to have a supernice dish...by Luciano. Food and superfriendly service where and still are at topo level during the about twenty years of my Wetzlarer visits.

I ate in this restaurant as part of a group business dinner. the restaurant itself was quite busy. for the selection we offered, that was the food order. I had the fish dish that was cooked well. the Pana-Citta served with whisper was a...small bit too hard for my taste. personal was friendly and the service was good.

we were there with two little children, we had a high chair right away, and they also offered a baby girl. they have fulfilled all our desires, the staff was very helpful, the eating was excellent, with a beautiful sarg and dessert rounded. highly recommended!

they were there during a business trip. we all had a choice in the menu. great eating, good waiters. funny thing: the coca cola glasses are smaller than the wine glasses (including volume.) beautiful view of the terrace to the dom of wetzlar. would come back.

more affordable place with Italian oriented. for me the highest point was the tomaten soup: creamy and warm at the right temperature. even if it was late in the night and I was the last to leave, the waiters were still with a smile in their faces.

The restaurant has a superb location, overlooking the cathedral square. Service was excellent, friendly and quick which can not always be taken for granted in a tourist spot. The price was reasonable.

This restaurant is in the DomPlatz which is the centre of Wetzlar Alstat, an excellent location. The food is very good and the staff easily serve a very popular busy restaurant without any drama.

Schönes Ambiente, guter Service, exzellente Küche, hier passt alles. Wenn ich in Wetzlar zum essen gehe, dann hier!
