We had a wonderful dinner here and can only recommend this restaurant. Beef filet was excellent, cooked to perfection. My son said he had the best Cordon Bleu ever! Service was incredible - the lady literally read my mind when I wanted some more herb butter and brought me some without even having to ask. The Scherrers are a lovely sweet couple. They somehow discovered that it was our sons birthday and next thing we knew we had the most divine tasting chocolate gugelhupf cake with candles and all! It is different to the currently trendy restaurants in that the deco and interior is very traditional but it is also not as loud as the usual restaurants. This is maybe a very harsh assessment, but at the end for what you pay in this place this was a rather disappointing evening. Not so much about the food. That was OK. But the atmosphere in this place is kind of strange and very different to other places in Switzerland. Not very welcoming is maybe a good description. Especially the lack of having the feeling to be appreciated as a guest and that the staff and the owners are from the moment you step into the restaurant until the end trying to make it a pleasant experience for you … as said: Something is missing here.
I was invited to dinner by my best friends. My friends chose a soup as entrée , I chose some tuna carpaccio. We were very satisfied. My friends chose a beef fillet and a veal chop, I chose sliced veal with calf's kidney Zurich Style (Zueri Gschnaetzlets) with Roesti. All three main course were delicious! I finished my meal with a lemon sorbet and vodka plus some verveine tea. The owners are an absolutely charming couple who make you feel very at home. I have known this restaurant for at least thirty years, never have I been disappointed!
Once again I was invited to a birthday dinner by my close friends, and once again the evening was delightful and the food delicious. The waiters and waitresses are friendly and efficient, the owners are the perfect hosts, real darlings!My veal tartare was excellent, a very special treat, followed by real "Züri Gschnätzlets" with Röschti, "real" meaning it contained slices of calf kidney — I love it! The lemon sherbet with vodka was the perfect finishing touch...I will most certainly return to this lovely place! Reserva una mesa ahora
Had dinner here, and the service was excellent. We had dietary requirements due to allergies, and that was absolutely no problem. The food and service was excellent, both beautifully presented, and with a smile. We've eaten here a few times, and have always received great service. Also, a great Swiss cheese selection. Highly recommend this place.
