I can't really rate the food because I only drank wine for lunch. But my wife had a garden salad that was large and varied and she enjoyed it. A liter of wine (shared, of course) and the salad came to 28 Euros. By the way, I've noticed a new phenomenon in Germany at many cafes and restaurants. They no longer serve free "tap" water, even if you just ask for a glass, say with your espresso. Many now charge 50 cents for a glass of what is called "tapfelwasser" (tablewater) or 1.50 euros for a tiny bottle. This is not mineral water, just American-style bottled tap water.
Let me begin by saying, our waitress was so kind and lovely. She was willing to make changes to the menu for us. We had a wonderful meal of chicken schnitzel, salad and fries. A very generous portion and cooked perfectly. There was a mistake on the bill as I had changed from a salad to a small salad. I saw another salad served and knew I could never eat all that. When the bill came it was billed the regular salad , she instantly corrected that. Not one thing to say negative.
We stopped in for a late (2:00 pm) lunch. We had a simple meal of sausages (Bamberger and Nurnberger) with excellent house sauerkraut, mustard, and dark bread. The portions were generous and tasty. I had the "smoke beer" and my wife had a pilsner. The service was very good - friendly and quite prompt. My German is not good, but their English was very good. A very enjoyable part of our day trip to Bamberg. We were pleasantly surprised by the bill E25.00.
Literally right next door to where we were staying. In fact we had to pick our key up from there on the first night. Food was traditional Bavarian fayre, I went for pork knuckle with potato dumpling and sauerkraut; it was as good as I was hoping. Service was absolutely fine. And it was cheap. Can't say much more than that!

Netes Lokal, freundliche Bedienung, lecketes Essen zu vernünftigen Preisen. Straßenverkehr vom Glühwein scheint auch gut zu laufen. Die Feuerzangenbowle und Heidelbeerglühwein waren sehr lecker.
Trotz sehr guten Besucherzahlen (Sa. Abend) sehr freundliche Bedienung. Schnell die Getränke und das Essen bekommen was recht gut war.
Wegen COVID momentan nicht geöffnet. Ansonsten absolut lecker: Weißbier und Bratwürste sind einfach spitze!!!
Die Brotzeit sehr gut. Sinnvoll wäre jedoch bei einer QR-Speisekarte Free WiFi ohne Registrierung
