We came for dinner on a Saturday night and were blown away by the quality of the food. Sage is very cosy and relaxed, certainly not intimidating like some Michelin starred places can be, but the food wow!! There is a 5 or 6 course set menu, and all the courses were beautifully presented and tasted fantastic. I usually find that in tasting menus like this there is usually one course that is a let down not here!! Using local ingredients, exquisitely cooked, everything was done to perfection. It was relatively quiet and the chef introduced himself to us (in fact he led us to our tables initially). The only downside (and this is our fault) was that he only spoke German and French and so we couldn't really express our gratitude suffuciently as we only speak English. Attentive staff, and just a wonderful evening. Highly, highly recommended and you can get the number 10 tram there so no need to drive back!!

A few months ago Chef Zimmermann (formerly 8 years at Stucki Restaurant) took over the Restaurant Säge in Flüh and today we finally had the opportunity to test it over lunch. Foe gras surrounded by thin asparagus slices (very good), Lobster on peas with gorgeous sauce (fantastic) followed by Sole on a very tasty spinach bed (very good again). Cheese selection was good not great, Desert (Soufflé of banana and passion fruit) was again very good. Fair wine prices, wine list could be a bit longer. Very charming and attentive service. Definitively a great addition to Basel's culinary experiences! Many thanks!

We had dinner here and were delighted. It is a Michelin star restaurant with a fixed menu of I think 6 courses with an optional cheese course. I was in heaven with the food so wasn't counting the exact number of courses ! Each course is small but when combined added up to a perfect meal size. The restaurant is quite small and cosy so I'd advise booking. The staff are welcoming and attentive. The presentation of the food is wonderful and of excellent quality. Highly recommended.

The moment we walked in we felt pampered. 3 ladys are serving everyone shaking hands and smiling. Restaurant is very small and cozy. Note: Menu is set so you only pick how many courses. Choices are limited. Food was great: my favorite was mushroom ravioli and pigeon. Fish course had a bit of strange yeasty aftertaste I didn't care for. The rest was fantastic.
