Just back from Niederau in Austria, and after drinking several nights in our own hotel bar with a grumpy barmaid who has since been sacked, we found what was an oasis in the desert - The Witch Alm. This place is fabulous and is right beside the ski lift. On entry we were greeted by the friendly Margo, who served two of the coldest beers in the town. The Bar is run by Margo and English man Rob, who is also the chef. He came out and welcomed us and had a nice friendly chat, and commiserated about our hotel bar experience. We’ve been coming to the village for years. We’ve had experiences in the other local bars where they serve snack/finger food, but the Hexenalm is the best we have been in ever. The lady serving us, Amber was of the most pleasant and lovely girl....We had a thoroughly good time and were looked after very well. Wonderful hostess, wonderful food a proper meal not just snacky bits and well priced at that. Most incredible shots too! Will definitely be returning to the village with the kids and will be coming back to here for lunches/dinners/ any time we can!!
If you are ever in niederau you really should give this restaurant a visit, the food is fantastic and the ambience great. The owner is Rob, an English man who is a great guy, really friendly and a great chef, his assistant is Maggie and she makes a fantastic milkshake, every thing is spotlessly clean and the burgers are to die for!
Heel vers en lekker eten. gezellig restaurant. vriendelijk personeel. We stayed in Niederau for one week, and we visited this restaurant almost everyday excepted their closing days. Of course, if we have chance go back to Niederau in Austria, we would definitely come back to...you guys, Hexenalm Niederau.

A good bar for cocktails. On our first visit we were pleasantly surprised to see the place full inside as mostly the bars are quiet.Called for a coffee later in the week and it was the total opposite with just a few couples.They serve food but we always ate in our hotel
I came to the Witch Alm on the first night of my trip. I was greeted by the amicable owner Rob and the lovely and enthusiastic barmaid Margit. Coldest beers in Niederau and the best grub by a country mile (try the 'Beast Burger')...I've spent the whole week here!
Had a nice veggie meal, it was huge! I don't eat a lot anyway so lot was wasted unfortunately. Lovely service and ambience, booking advisable as it's a popular place!
Great bar/restaurant that we used after our days skiing boarding, out door and indoor depending on the weather, staff very friendly and food and drinks spot on.

I had the Tower burger and it was fab... would definitely recommend it to anyone who wants a burger. The chips are really good too...
Went here for a night when they had live music. Friendly staff , good atmosphere and the dish i had was very tasteful!!
