We had read on Tripadvisor that, at this time, the Wok was a good option. As opposed the the other Buffet chinese restaurant located not very far away. A place that we have visited 2 or 3 times previously. We walked from the Spain/Gibraltar frontier along the sea front, this in itself was great, and set us up for lunch. On arrival at the Wok, we were shown to our table which was in the middle of the very large restaurant. There were not many other diners. We travel to La Linea frequently but had not tried the Chinese Restaurant, preferring to eat tapas, etc. The good points: huge choice of dishes including desserts, and most of it tasting fresh: Charming staff who spoke no English (but this WAS Spain! : plenty of seating, though they prefer you to sit in the window, I presume to make it look full!. It looked as though you could choose raw ingredients and take them to a counter to have cooked for you, but as that wasn't evident we picked from the ready made food. Una cena especial para dos personas, €40 incluyendo una botella grande de agua. Empezamos con ensalada y rollitos de pancake, ninguno de los dos estuvo bueno, la ensalada con ingredientes baratos y los rollitos de pancake estaban muy grasientos. El plato principal de Pato Pekín estaba bien presentado, el plato de langostinos a la rey estaba sabroso, al igual que el Arroz Especial. Sin embargo, lo encontramos seco ya que ningún plato fue servido en salsa.
Menú para dos personas, con las mejores partes por 35€, empezó bien con una ensalada, ¡pero terminamos con partes sobrecocidas y secas para la mayor parte de la comida! El pato pekinés casi se deshizo en polvo en un extremo, los panqueques no tenían humedad. El resto, como el arroz frito, sabía sin vida y recalentado. Realmente no funcionó, y nos fuimos con hambre. El servicio fue muy rápido, pero su inglés no era tan bueno.

Visitamos este restaurante en la Línea de la Concepción, ¿no estoy seguro si es el mismo lugar? El concepto funciona bien, si sales de este lugar con hambre no es culpa del restaurante. La selección es abundante, hay mucha comida marina (y carne). El buffet costaba 12,95EUR los domingos.
Lots of variety: raw items to be cooked to your liking, cold items (e.g sushi), hot items (e.g. mooshi) for €14 euro per person ... especially after a day on the Rock !
The one and only time we went we were served tagliatelle in some sticky sauce instead of noodles. No joke.
