The food was pretty good but the service was very odd. In the beginning the waiter kept checking on us if we needed anything, which we did need to replace an order Bc my friend can’t eat chicken which she clarified but they still put chicken. then after that We sat for hours after we finished eating until we noticed the server never checked on us to give us the bill. We love coming to the south Barrington location the most (I’ve been to them all . We even did a make your own sushi class a couple years ago (do another one! We love wok n fire so much we had our wedding rehearsal dinner here. It was a pretty large group with some food allergies so I was a little nervous about meal issues but Ken made it super easy for me and our family. Everyone loved their meals, apps and drinks! Literally not one mess up for 23 people. Thanks Ken!
I used to come here almost weekly before the pandemic. I'd always thought their food was good and was reasonably priced. I've only come maybe twice in the last few months and I have to say that the quality and variety of the food is not what it used to be. The staff is friendly enough when they actually come and check in on you, which isn't often.
Now I know why This place was empty on Sunday afternoon. The food was horrible, burned and didn’t have any taste. I think they used old burned oil. My sea bass was bitter just like calamari that I ordered as appetizer. This is not a professional response to bad review. Look at the picture of my receipt.

This place sucked! It wasn’t good and the waiter kept messing up our order! They are overpriced beyond words. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. When making the reservation I mentioned that it was a special occasion and they did nothing to celebrate that. Don’t go here!!!!
I will.say that the food here is pricey but the service was so good and the food was great. It will fill you up for sure. They also take pride in making the restaurant and bar feel so different with decor and style. I really enjoyed coming here!
My hats off to the sushi chef! Ordered to go and this restaurant didn’t disappoint! Delicious Japanese food my whole family loved! Will have to stop by and dine in when we get a chance.
Food was excellent, very flavorful. Went in a Saturday at 5:30pm waitress was very attentive. Very loud however in a open dining area.

Very inconsistent. Each time I'm there the food is different. ordering the same dish. They do consistently over cook the chicken.
We always love this place! Today we had a great super attentive server named savanna! Food and drinks are always top notch!
