Wooden Horse Restaurant

Well, it 's a while since I 've done a restaurant review. Seemed like a good night to do it. Flew in from Sydney, dumped luggage. Starving. Only some bacon, an egg and some no doubt rather damp n soggy lettuce in the fridge. Take far too long at this time of night to thaw out any of the lovely meat in the freezer. Solution: dinner out treat. Decided Wooden Horse would have something delicious for me. So, jumped in the car and whizzed up to Eagle Junction. All tables booked (sigh) so they sat me at the bar table no worries on my end, came for the food not the chair. Next thing I know, there 's a cancellation so got a nice table just for me. I finally had the opportunity to dine at this local restaurant and brought my family for steak night last week. I was very impressed! The platter/share board with duck pate was excellent. The service was great (we had a new waitress who just moved from Melbourne - she had a fantastic personality, was professional, and engaged in quality banter). The restaurant had a cozy atmosphere and the food and cocktails were amazing. The only downside was that the ****** Mary's didn't come with the promised oyster garnish as advertised on Instagram. Just finished lunch there and we couldn't be happier. The pizza was amazing and everyone at the table seemed to really enjoy everything they got. Service was fantastic and very attentive. We will absolutely return and recommend to people

Visited this lovely place recently. Great atmosphere and happy staff (which is hard to find these days! Highly recommend and will return for sure. Thank you wooden horse for a great experience :

Their pizza is amazing! Highly recommend the Drunken Pig and the Black Sheep. The drill pickle sounds odd, but give it a try; it balances out the other flavors nicely.
