The Woodworks cafe is by far my favourite place to go for lunch and/or just to meet friends for coffee. It’s so popular that booking is definitely advisable to save disappointment, but I should point out that the staff do their utmost to accommodate those who do decide to go on the off chance. You can eat in, or if you prefer to eat outside surrounded by greenery there are a number of lovely gazebos to choose from. My wife and I had lunch at The Orangery on Saturday 9/9/23. We chose the two-course menu for £25. I ordered the beef ragu, which was average, while my wife had the seafood pappardelle. Unfortunately, her dish was very disappointing as it only had three prawns, no pollock, and very little salmon. It seemed like they forgot to add the sauce, making the pasta dry, leading my wife to leave two-thirds of her meal uneaten. We have been loyal customers for 15 years, but this was only our second time dining in The Orangery and we were disappointed both times. Called one morning for breakfast with daughter on way back from a early hospital appointment. Really quiet and probably due to the price increases! To be fair everywhere is doing the same I see, but there will come a point in time whereby something will have to give out eventually… both myself and daughter ordered a breakfast Bap have had in the past and was spot on but this occasion although stated a bap on Menus… we received sliced bread instead? Bread tasted awful! Really cheap doughy bread! Visited this place with family were were visiting. The shop area before go in was lovely. Then you hit the cafe area and what can I say. The lady that took us to our table was miserable. We sat near the kitchen area only to hear staff bickering not something I wanted my young family members to hear. Staff not happy which the atmosphere spilt out into the cafe area. It’s a shame the lady overseeing the cafe seemed to be the problem according to the staff well that’s what we heard! The food was ok though overpriced or the quantity you got but apparently local produce is expensive. Been here before, for breakfast. That was absolutely brilliant. Today, however popped in for coffee and cake. Service was excellent , we were offered a seat within minutes and served within 5 mins. My apple pie was lovely. The garden centre itself is a bit different than others as it has more than just garden furniture . It specialises in lots of other wood products such as sheds and wooden containers for plants and trellis as well. This garden ctre is 11 miles away from where I live but well worth a visit.

A nice relaxed atmosphere with a menu for all tastes using locally sourced produce, whatever we chose it's always of top quality and really tasty with ample potions. The Woodworks Cafe team are always very obliging, friendly and always give us a great welcome. It's very popular with a respected reputation, so booking is always recommended, Mold is a thriving couny town and Woodworks Cafe is certainly one of the jewels in the crown! I visited this restaurant for breakfast today, having been there multiple times before. My husband ordered the big breakfast, while I chose the smaller one. The food was of excellent quality and very tasty. We also had coffee, which was among the best I've ever had, and it was served in a mug, which I appreciate. I would definitely recommend dining here. The staff were very accommodating and pleasant.

I’m usually a big fan of the Woodworks Cafe, but I went last week and was so disappointed. The quality of the food was average, they’ve put their prices up, and now they no longer use free-range eggs. The service is still friendly, always a plus point. I won’t be returning unfortunately. I went to this restaurant for lunch on a Saturday with a friend. We sat outside in one of the gazebos and had a lovely experience. We both ordered jacket potatoes followed by gluten-free scones with jam and clotted cream. I definitely plan on coming back again.

Booked a table for lunch, arrived on time, no-one seemed interested in taking our order so we left. Also a very noisy environment.
