Today I treated myself to a special breakfast at Word Of Mouth Neighborhood Bristo. It's a small old house converted into a Bristo. The decor brings charm and nostalgia from your warmest memories of family gatherings. The whole house is adorned with pictures of dogs from previous and current owners. Old tapestry-covered seats, dusty pinks, beautiful teals, in rich mahogany woods. I felt like I was back at my grandmother's home where you are welcomed with open arms. Holy cow.... If you're in the Salem area this is a must visit. The filet mignon chicken fried steak was phenomenal and the pro move is to put a couple of sunny side up eggs right on top. It was divine. Giant buttermilk biscuits, delicious thick cut bacon, creme brulee French toast, everything was superb. It is a small venue, so make sure you get here early or prepare to wait. Any wait is well worth it. Excellent food, delightful staff, in a cute little setting. Highly recommend

I have not been here for years but celebrating my retirement with a wonderful breakfast. I am so very impressed with the service here. I have been listening to the wait staff interact with customers. So outgoing, pleasant,attention to detail and unending patience. I have always recommended this delightful place but now I can come more often since I'm RETIRED!!! THANK YOU for coming back after COVID better than ever!!!

Very disappointed, we chose to go there because of the good rating. The burrito was ok and the corned beef was Flatt, filled with cabbages, and only has 2 small cuts potatoes in them. Very sad especially for that kind of price.The waitress was nice but the host is terrible. We definitely will not come back.

We came here for lunch while in town for a sporting event for nine days. The food was ridiculously good, sort of indulgent in a special way, and the service was next level! Our server was so fun and adorable and made it a really great dining experience. Highly recommend.
