As a property managed by the National Trust, the house and its gardens are open for exploration, allowing guests to discover ten remarkable locations throughout the home. There are interactive experiences scattered around the interior, where both children and adults can dress up and play with wooden toys that belonged to William and his siblings in their daily lives. Really nice place to visit. A good balance of garden and home with the house feeling like we’d stepped into a time machine into an old townhouse which I suppose we had! We hadn’t visited anywhere like this before and enjoyed the self guided walk around.

I had a very interesting visit with a free guided tour. The place is highly interactive and features a beautiful garden. There's plenty to do and see!

Beautifully presented. Helpful, friendly guides. 'Amy ' in the kitchen preparing real period food. Gardens wonderful, particularly bee balm.
