Was craving sushi so came on yelp to find a restaurant close to me with good reviews and this place popped up. The restaurant is very clean and the employees were super friendly and the service was quick. The food however, was not up to my standard. I got the teriyaki chicken bowl and the crunch roll to-go. When I opened the teriyaki box, I thought they forgot to put teriyaki sauce on it. There was a clear glaze and I thought it was just the steam from putting hot food in a styrofoam box. I should have listened to the other reviews about the sushi rolls falling apart. I spent nearly $20 on a Las Vegas roll from their "WOW Sushi" section, which promised larger sizes. I received 8 pieces, each about 2 inches across. The salmon on top lacked flavor and clearly wasn't fresh—it seemed to be frozen and then thawed. The tempura shrimp inside was generic, predominantly made of imitation crab, and the smoked salmon was dry and reminiscent of flavorless canned tuna. Definitely a HUGE disappointment, at least with the sushi. This was my first time ordering from here. I ordered a crunch roll and a spider roll and everything was wrong with these. First off, the rolls were not tight at all, so when I tried to pick them up they were just completely falling apart. The spider roll, $17.95, came with about 6 pieces, all of which were falling apart even before I even attempted to pick them up. The whole order was just overall sloppy. Great place, great service and pretty great food. The price for musubis are ridiculous though($9.95 . Would recommend changing that. Everything else was amazing. Sushi portions are bomb! The Tempura Udon was perfect!!!! I haven't had good udon in a while. Loved every bite! The waitress was outgoing and attentive. Great person to talk to she even welcomed me to the state! You're new? Since I am new to the area and this is my first Sushi spot that I tried I couldn't give them 5 stars (yet). I will update my review later. But for now....... I stopped by today for dinner and let's just say I wasn't disappointed! I opted to try for 2 different rolls (The shrimp roll and the jalapeño roll). They both tasted great! The shrimp roll was definitely my favorite of the two. It was deep fried to perfection. The jalapeño roll had just the right amount of spice with the perfect balance of salmon and crab. The restraint decor was nice and clean, and my food came out relatively quick! I will definitely give them another visit when I'm in the Lakewood area again!
This place is close to JBLM and has been our favorite during my husbands month long training here. We have liked it everything we have ordered although my favorite is the baked salmon roll! Also we loved the shrimp tempura, ?crispy roll, and salmon teriyaki. The staff are so kind and helped us pick out options since I am pregnant and can't have raw fish; this combined with the cozy low key ambience makes it an easy choice for weeknights.
I used to enjoy this restaurant because it was conveniently located and reasonably priced for the quality of food. However, I believe they have increased their prices, and the food quality is now just average. If I'm going to spend that much money, I will likely choose a different sushi restaurant.
I ordered the spicy tuna poke bowl and it exceeded my expectations. It was incredibly delicious, and the portion was larger than I anticipated. It was definitely worth the price. I'll be sure to come back the next time I'm in the area. The staff was friendly, and the restaurant was very clean.

Update: I've increased my rating from 4 to 5 stars! I love coming here for lunch— their rolls are full of flavor, and one roll is usually enough to fill me up. They also have a great lunch special, and I really enjoy getting my food here. My favorite roll is the Love Roll.
