I was once in the Ratskeller with parents and once with friends, but was both disappointed. The Ratskeller offers Franconian cuisine, but it doesn't taste very well... It is not very cozy (blank wooden tables with white tablecloths and the food is simply not prepared with love. The sauces were rather watery, the salad was not well prepared and tuned (too many greens and the beer too warm or the cola admitted. It seems to me that, above all, tourists are being slept and processed (especially bus groups consisting of Asians or pensioners, at least it makes this impression for me; is probably due to the absolutely central location at the City Hall/Main Bridge. Only best experience there, good drink selection with ever proper temperature, good food fresh ingredients, beautiful ambience, friendly staff, all very clean, from the floor to glasses and cutlery. not the best place to go well eat, eating is ok, but it doesn't even reach the least of how it should taste for the price! actually a local for the higher class, and that makes you feel a ottonormal sticker clearly! the services are not very friendly and what a smile is know the least! I understand the prices for the location of the cellar, but still leaves the quality to be desired
We (my partner and I) can only recommend the Ratskeller in Würzburg. We recently held our wedding there. Starting with the reservation and arrangement of our celebration with the friendly, competent Mr. L. from the office. About the warm service by Mrs. Sch.... To the super delicious food we had a successful celebration. We will come back and recommend them.

On Saturday we were lucky and could secure a table in the really beautiful courtyard without reservation. The short waiting period until the table was made suitable for us has always been rewarded. We had a great evening with delicious food and really very friendly service.
No frills, no thrills. Sturdy local food accompanied by a view of the square fountain. The back yard is a nice hidden gem. The interior takes you back in time. Worth the money.
