Wu's House Orland Park

This restaurant is incredibly loud! They have drummers playing every five minutes for one birthday celebration after another, along with the constant clattering of metal spatulas. Because of this noise, I will not be returning. The food was overcooked and dry overall, though the steak was the only dish cooked to a perfect medium rare—tender and delicious. The lobster was acceptable, but both the shrimp and chicken were overcooked, and almost all dishes were smothered in various sauces. The experience as a whole was wonderful! The chef was fantastic and extremely personable. The MAJOR problem is the hidden fees. There were four of us and after enjoying the fabulous meal, we discovered that we EACH had a $45 gratuity charge for the service of the chef cooking in our presence. It ended up not being a problem for us to pay. However, it could be a problem for others counting their pennies. It wasn 't appreciated though.

The food was outstanding, and the service was prompt. Our waiter, Ferry, was fantastic; I feel fortunate to have had him. He was incredibly kind, helpful, and addressed all our needs. Overall, I would rate the food, service, and atmosphere all a perfect 5.
