X2O Xaviars on the Hudson

For starters, we ordered the truffle risotto which was served in a generous portion. The main course of King salmon with miso was delicious, served on a bed of cream orzo with tomatoes and mushrooms. The brazino was cooked to perfection with a tender filet and crispy skin, something that can be difficult to achieve. The brazino was accompanied by mashed potatoes and snow peas, another good portion size. For dessert, we tried the almond olive pound cake and the apple/cranberry crumb. The latter was more moist and had an Italian twist to it. The ambiance of the restaurant was great, as we sat by a wall-to-wall window and enjoyed a beautiful view of Manhattan and Jersey during the sunset. Overall, a fantastic dining experience.

This charming restaurant is situated along the picturesque Hudson River. The short ribs and cod dish were outstanding, as were the appetizers and wine selection. The staff were friendly and the atmosphere was elegant. Parking can be difficult to find, so it's best to use the valet service.
