Second visit. Nine months between visits. The place has deteriorated. Service: waiter very brusque. The food runner left the appetizer on the table retreating to leave us to fend for ourselves. In moving the platter my wife knocked over her wine. No one responded. My wife hunted down the waiter. His response was to hand my wife a stack of paper napkins. Again it was up to us to clean it up. We did and then had a pile of wine soaked napkins. The food runner brought out the entree and plopped it on the table. She began to walk away leaving the pile of trash. My family and I have visited this restaurant for the second time, and we can honestly say we are now big fans! A few months ago, our son-in-law and daughter recommended this restaurant to us since they live in the area and have always had great experiences here. Last night, we had a delicious dinner. We started off with some Grilled Pineapple Margaritas (my favorite), Cadillac Margaritas, and Model Especial beers, accompanied by Guacamole with chips, salsa, and warm bean dip. I am amazed by this incredible Mexican restaurant in Ladera Ranch! The mole verde sauce is absolutely to die for, rivaling even Javier's. The enchiladas are filled with white meat chicken and cheese, wrapped in delicious tortillas, and topped with your choice of sauce. The margaritas are fantastic, especially the skinny spicy version. The staff, from the manager to the waiters to the bartender, always greet us with smiles and make us feel welcome. Without a doubt, this is our favorite spot in Ladera!

The fajitas didn't sizzle...at all....and came out within 10 minutes... The food tasted good, the salsa was okay, the chips were good....but my dad and I both got fajitas....and both got overnight food poisoning. Something was wrong with the food. May have been left out too long...wasn't cooked fresh not quite sure. But my family and I will not return due to getting sick. Our server was very nice though. What can I say?... delicious food and VERY friendly staff (Carlos what a great guy who made this a very special meal). I recommend the guacamole to start. Great salsa, beans and chips too. Then there's the pork belly taco, which I was VERY happy with. My wife got the calamari taco... had a taste. All delicious. We WILL be back. Also, sitting out on the patio on a nice warm afternoon just rounded out the experience.

The best Mexican cuisine in South Orange County! You must try the Skirt Steak Lollipop and their Tamarindo margaritas! It's a very laid-back place, perfect for a quick bite or a nice sit-down meal.
