Funny story. Earlier this week I ate at Yada's with a group of six other ladies. Two of us ordered the carbonara pasta dish which comes with bacon, peas, noodles and a cream sauce. Neither of us could find any bacon and we had about four peas. We let the waitress know that we had no bacon and she said it was in there but not cooked. We could not find it cooked or uncooked. lol. We asked for some and she brought us two tiny ramekins (which I'd taken a pic of that too for kicks) with about a half of a strip of overcooked bacon in each one about 30 minutes later. Not only did we not have any bacon in a dish that shows bacon on the menu, and barely got any peas, we were actually both charged $3 extra for the bacon they did give us! That was hilarious! I was so blown away by how bold and rude that was I could not even say anything. The sad thing I've had decent things at Yada's before and may eventually go back but the other lady who joined us and was new to the area with her family said she'd never go there again. Cheap move Yada. On the upside our brussel sprouts were good and the other dishes were decent. Also, our waitress was sweet. If it wasn't for her my experience would be one star. Below is a photo of my carbonara after stirring it around looking for bacon. Let me know if you see any. Next to it are photos of what carbonara should look like.
