while eating was excellent, it was obvious from the explanation our server, taylor, provided that when we sat down that the choice of a banquet was the only one to go away. Unfortunately that meant that because I was on a limited diet due to the recent hospital stay, the other six could not the banquet so we ordered a la carte. eating, 2-3 dishes, came in the following two hours sporadic (as recommended). the restaurant was very busy and we had to wait over 45 minutes for first drinks, and several prods on our server. when they feed here, they bring their geduld!

Incredible team! If you're looking to learn about Japanese cuisine, especially sake, definitely ask for Sampson! The service was exceptional—thank you! The food was delicious, and the meal felt like a journey, especially with all the time Sampson took to explain everything. We’re fans of lunch, so we ordered the lunch Omakase and added three extra dishes, pairing it with the sake selections for dinner. Dessert and another sake wrapped everything up beautifully. Enjoy!

Yamagen had a great ambience and the staff were really friendly. The food was very well presented and of great quality. The table had the omakase and there was enough food so that everyone was comfortably full at the end of the meal. It was a very enjoyable night and will definitely be back.

Our first night back on the GC and had to come here. This is the best Japanese restaurant we have ever been to.Food is amazing and the staff are so great.This is a restaurant I would definitely recommend when visiting the GC. Reserva una mesa ahora

We have visited a couple of times in the past and experienced better service. We would still consider coming back, but we hope there will be more staff available to provide friendly and knowledgeable service.

The restaurant is more focused on drinks and an izakaya-style dining experience. It’s definitely not ideal for families, as the food took quite a long time to arrive. However, the dishes were delicious.

Delicious food, great wine and Japanese whisky. The wait staff were excellent.This was our second visit and we plan to go again in the future. Superb!
