Yamato Sushi Asian Grill

Called to tell them that my partner and I got food poisoning from their sushi that we ordered last night through Grubhub. I told them exactly what we ordered. I even mentioned that other customers from THIS WEEK also reported they got sick from their food. (I didn’t see the reviews until I realized I was sick after eating the sushi and googled the restaurant. After expressing that they’re getting people sick and need to do something about it, the girl hung up on me. I’ll never recommend this place to anyone. You’ll get sick, and the restaurant won’t care a bit. Just horrible.

I ordered the Maki Combo on Uber Eats, which came with Shrimp Tempura, Spicy Tuna, and Salmon Avocado rolls with a side salad. It came to me uncomfortably warm (I frequently order shrimp tempura and understand that it can warm up the other rolls, but this was different). Also, it had an unpleasant fishy smell more than other sushi. Long story short, I didn't have any other options and was starving, so I only ate the cooked sushi roll and salad because I wasn't going to risk getting sick.

We ordered off of Uber eats and the quality was more that of gas station sushi, and like many others, it made us really sick afterwards. We should have taken it as a warning that instead of descriptions of the food, each item came with an individual warning about consuming raw fish. Will not be returning.

This was my first time ordering from this restaurant and I'm glad I did! The food was so good and packed so well (I ordered from a delivery service) everything was fresh and I will certainly order again. Oh and pricing was cool too

Yamato is my go-to sushi spot. Completely affordable (especially with their 50% off sushi deal right now) and DELICIOUS food. Their rolls are large and incredibly fresh, and their service is fast and friendly.
