Okay so came in from work tired as hell decided I wanted a Chinese I’m exhausted I’m hungry!! Order Chinese from here and omg I nearly threw up, I’ve always gone here since a little kid and today was horrific chicken balls were black and slimy in the centre and smelt old really really old also forgot the sweet and sour sauce I ordered Singapore noodles just pure salt it made my mum feel ill and when she’s hungry she’ll eat anything one bite and she was like nope.£20 we spent just thrown in the bin. I ordered around £60 worth of food from the online setup. They took my order then swiftly took my money. The order sat in ‘ pending’ for ages and ages. It became so obvious that the order would not be fulfilled “ due to high demand “…… that I decided to cancel….! Why didn’t they decide that before taking my money. Now the third party company says it’ll take up to 5 days to return the monies !!!! Despicable !!! Will not use ever again !!!
I have been a loyal customer of this restaurant for years and I have always received my orders quickly from friendly staff. The food is always hot and delicious. I don't understand why this place has received so many negative reviews. Every time I have ordered, my meal has been accurate, well-packaged, and a great value for the price. I highly recommend Yat Wongs to anyone looking for a great dining experience.
We have been using Yat Wongs since 2012. The quality had fallen over the last couple of years but tonight was the low point. The ribs were missing as was the sauce for the crispy veg. Worst of all the portion of crispy beef was embarrassingly small. I tried to call about the missing items but they didn't answer. After 9 years I sadly won't be using them again

We pre-ordered our food at 5PM for a 6.45 delivery and it arrived 5 minutes early, piping hot and delicious. The prawn toast was crunchy and the Singapore noodles were spicy. We even received free prawn crackers. All three of us enjoyed everything we ordered. It's the best Chinese food I've had in years. I would definitely recommend it 100%.
Absolutely disgusting, never again will l eat anything from the place again , l orders for me and my Daughter for a treat , there was more salt in it than the sea , burnt chicken dry and hard , , waste of money , went and ordered from another place , so spent to lots of money on one meal , Disgusting
The restaurant failed to deliver the chow mein we ordered and then asked us to wait 45 minutes. When we returned to collect the leftover food, they were unapologetic. We will not be using their services again. Avoid this place.
We moved back to Hockley a year ago and tried several Chinese takeaways, Yat Wong’s is the best and the food is great. We use them at least once a month and have never been disappointed.

Terrible. Tried ordering on just eat. Charged me over £20. Nothing, no food, no contact. Now I’m without food, £20 short, and hungry STAY AWAY
We have us this place for years and the standard has always been high. Their food is light and fresh and portion sizes are good.
