Just arrived in liverpool went to Yates small waiter asked us to wait until he cleared table we did so only to be shouted at by a woman behind the bar table was taken tried to explain we were told to wait until in was cleared no shouting taken then a man whom I assume was a manager in an aggressive tone told me what was the fuss tried to explain but continued to take over me I might add I am nearly 70 in the end walked out the old saying comes to mind give someone a bit of authority and well YATES PLEASE LOOK INTO THIS ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTED
I don't remember the exact day or time of my visit, but it was late afternoon. The restaurant had a nice vibe—not too empty or too crowded—which made for a pleasant experience. The service was outstanding, and the atmosphere was charming. I found the prices to be quite reasonable for a city center location. My friend and I were seated in a spot that allowed us to have a comfortable conversation, which is important to us since we prefer not to sit in silence, haha! All in all, it was a delightful afternoon, and I would definitely return.
As soon as we approached the bar Clare made us feel super welcome. Helpful, friendly, and lovely to chat to a perfect person to have in hospitality. We had only popped in for a beer but decided to come back again later when it was time to eat. Quality pub food, excellent value, good beer, great service (that was Clare again). Plenty of seating both inside and out. Will definitely make this a regular stop during future trips to Liverpool. Price per person: £20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
We received the wrong order twice. Ultimately, we decided not to complain again because we were running out of time before our theatre show. The chips were soggy, and it was obvious that the kitchen didn’t put much effort into the food they served. I guess it's just a classic example of getting what you pay for.

Went in for a quick beer with my Dad to hide from the sun. Ended up coming back later for some food as well. Both times were nice, and reasonably priced, and both times we were served by Claire, who was a good laugh. Will definitely come again next time I’m in town.
I had a wonderful lunch there today. The breakfast was cooked to perfection and accompanied by a couple of beers. Sophie was an outstanding server. Thank you for a delightful experience! I'll definitely be back in that area very soon.
Absolutely disgusted with the attitude of the bar guy saying at 10:40am which is classed as morning, that they are too busy to serve a cup of tea with breakfast. No bargaining with him, bad attitude problem and reasoning!!!
