Visited Yellow Georgetown while out of town and decided to order a variety of dishes to sample everything. We tried several dips with pita, a few pita sandwiches, tots, and some pastries. Everything was outstanding—some of the best food we’ve had in a long time. The pitas were fresh and warm, with perfectly balanced flavors and generously filled sandwiches. Our favorites were the hummus and labneh dips—light, rich, and full of flavor. The tots were tasty, a bit oily, but definitely worth ordering; just recommend sharing them. Yellow Georgetown offers delicious pastries and is very popular, often with a line out the door. However, its popularity means the space is crowded and hectic. Large groups waiting for takeout linger near diners, making it difficult to hear yourself think, place orders, or enjoy conversation during your meal. If you don’t mind the busy atmosphere, the food is good and the staff are friendly. Still, I believe there are nearby spots with equally good pastries but fewer crowds. The pastries at Yellow Georgetown are excellent, with a delightful Eastern European flair. They’re rich, combining salty and sweet flavors perfectly—I really love that mix! The coffee could use some improvement, though. The staff are friendly and provide great service. The restaurant is often busy, so be prepared to wait for a table.
