Yumlicious Dumplings

Our first and dine-in visit started ok but quickly moved to bad as the meal progressed. Service was very haphazard and our last dish took a very long time to arrive. They’re obviously very busy with takeaway orders but sadly it’s clear the kitchen is unable to or unsure how to manage this demand with those dining in. The steamed vegetarian dumplings were the best dish of the night but quite a bit smaller then expected and not hot enough. The pan fried pork dumplings were overdone to our liking and as with the other dumplings these are not house made but bought in. All up a bit meh. So can good food come from a Supermarket Shopping Centre in Pasadena? Even more, can good food come from a place calling itself Yumlicious? Well, yes apparently. Looking for a quick lunch in the area I went here and ordered the Shredded Pork and Ginger with Noodles. After a bit of a wait it arrived. A big, generous serve with the pork and ginger on one side of the plate and the bare noodles on the other. (I notice that they also do pork and ginger and pork and ginger with rice I reckon they cook the meat separately and then put the right accompaniment with it. I could easily eat around 5000 of their dumplings! They are absolutely fantastic and arrive at your table piping hot. I've tried many dishes here, but the two that stand out for me are the Dumplings Laksa and the BBQ pork buns, which I can't resist. Overall, both the food and service are superb. If it's a busy night and there’s a longer wait, the staff often surprise you with a complimentary bag of prawn crackers. This is definitely the best local Asian cuisine around.

My mother and I were really looking forward to visiting this restaurant. However, we ended up waiting about 50 minutes at 8:00 PM just to receive our fried rice and a dozen dumplings. The fried rice was very average and lacked flavor. The dumplings, while decent and filled with good meat, weren't worth the long wait. Its in the name, the dumplings are yum! Got a serve of the steamed vegetarian dumplings and they were very tasty. The other dishes were a bit flat for the price, generous servings and but the flavour was one noted. Hunger was satisfied, will stick to the dumplings.

This is usually a fantastic restaurant, but I had the laksa dumplings today and they were quite disappointing. It was easily the worst laksa I've ever tasted. The laksa base resembled more of a bland tomato soup, lacking proper seasoning and flavor.

the person, the service has called me while I have abandoned my order. cannot fully understand English. collect them to me when I ordered steamed pigshacks. the fried sommes were burned and served with tomato sauce! never back and took forever.

Love this place! It's my local dumplings hangout and I always get cravings for the steamed pork dumplings and Singapore fried vermicelli. Friendly staff and quick service, been here hundreds of times and have been happy every time. Reserva una mesa ahora

special fried rice with crispy chicken, absolutely rough!huh was like gum and paper thin, my guess is it was microwave then fried. for $14.80! never again. and 20 minutes wait to survive. not impressed.

Foods good. But the staff are ****... the lady can’t understand anything and I’ve been waiting for ages NO, PRAWN CRACKERS TO NOT COMPENSATE THE WAITING TIME!!!
