We had a ridiculous mishap where we ordered delivery and never got our food. The restaurant is very close to our house so we thought it would likely be under the estimated delivery time, but it was so late beyond the 45 minute prediction that we had to call. After multiple difficult calls to figure out where it was, we were told it has been delivered to someone else. We ordered in a pinch and it ended up ruining our whole night that we never got our food. They did refund us, but what a disappointment.
This is my second time trying Yummy Gyro, but first (and last) time visiting the Port Washington location. I had a bad experience a few years ago at the Williston Park location and only decided to try the Port Washington location because I was ina rush and the restaurant was close by. My order was completely incorrect despite having the correct items listed on thereceipt. I will not be returning to either location and hope that the business will do right and refund this order.
I have dined at this restaurant countless times, and every time the food and service have been excellent. The Yummy Gyro here is unmatched, making it impossible for me to enjoy a gyro anywhere else. This family-owned and operated business offers great food at great prices. Pablo and his team are the best in Port Washington.
Was nicely surprised how good every was. They were just finishing packing my order when I arrived so our meal was fresh and warm unpin return. I will also say how nicely decorated the restaurant seating area was.

This restaurant used to be the best, but yesterday I ordered a gyro sandwich and it was the smallest sandwich I have ever seen. They charged $12.95 for each sandwich.
Everything I've had here has been fantastic! Love the lamb chops, Greek fries, pita bread, the Sparta gyro and probably everything else on the menu I haven't had.
Everything is always so good. And the staff is why I keep going back. They ask where’s my family when I pick-up orders now :
We went during restaurant week. The house Cabernet is delicious. The food was also delicious and the service was terrific.
