I wanted to reserve at the Greenfield park location but they were all booked so decided to give it a try here. First, they did not want to serve sushi à la carte. They wanted us to take the tasting menu or the combos... ??? what is this way of doingbusiness for a small sushi take-out restaurant? After insisting, they accepted to take our order with a minimum of 35$ perperson if we order à la carte. What a rip off. We were with the kids so we did not have a choice. Stopped by Candia, the city where I lived but I never went to this sushi place simply because it wasn't built when I left. The ? is excellent and what made the whole difference for me is the guys behind the counter: pay attention to your special requests while adding their sense of humor. They had such great chemistry, the wait time went by fast! I will return next time I'm in the neighborhood!Très belle découverte! I’ve been going to this spot for a long time. The last time I went this week was not the quality I was used to. The pieces was all cut different sizes (monster pieces), ginger was thick so thick I had to tear with my hands, overall the fish didn’t seem all that fresh in the same plate I had salmon with three different color grades. The tempura shrimp was dry, and had the black stuff in it (not cleaned) what happened to this place?
My husband and I order takeout from Uni Sushi in Candiac a few times a month. It is consistently good and friendly service, but what I really find impressive is that they have never once made a single mistake on our order, never forgotten anything. Iappreciate their attention to detail.
