On Mondays they have a burrito special for $7, so I decided to try it. I got a Carnitas burrito, since carnitas is one of their specialties. I took it to go. It was really, really large. So I cut it in half, and that was plenty for me for lunch. I must say, I did enjoy the first half. The next day I warmed up the other half. To my surprise, there were large chunks of carnitas (more like strands) that we're super dry and hard. In fact, some of the carnitas I wasn't able to eat, because it was so tough (but there was a lot of it). Interesting how the burrito filling was so unevenly distributed. The customer service at Zamora Bros. East LA was very disappointing. The server, Julisa, took my order incorrectly, and when I pointed out the mistake, she insisted I pay again to place a new order. I only wanted them to fix the error since it was their fault. Julisa was extremely rude and unhelpful, refusing to acknowledge her mistake and arguing with me instead. When I asked to speak with someone who could help, she said the owner was unavailable. As a result, the issue was never resolved, and I ended up paying for the wrong order. On top of that, the quality of the food from the menu was below expectations. This was my first and last visit to Zamora Bros. East LA.
My experience at this restaurant was very disappointing. The staff on Sunday did not exhibit professionalism or ethics, as they made derogatory comments in Spanish assuming we could not understand the language. It seems the cashier felt justified in being rude because I am visually impaired/blind and we speak English. I made a 42-mile round trip to support a local business in a community where four generations of my family have lived, so I was extremely disappointed by this experience.

The lady today took a little too long to come help us. And when she did , she wasn't very welcoming. We decided to leave. I wasn't feeling her vibe. I'll come back another day, not so early.
Order asadaburrito and egg. Have to say one of the worst burritos I ever tasted it seems like the meat was boiled with no taste. Don't usually return the food but this time I had to.
The food was just okay; the rice was a bit hard and the beans tasted slightly burnt. The woman at the register seemed a bit grumpy. I ordered three burritos but only received two.
Tried a family pack of carnitas- meat was very good and tasty, beans had lots of flavor, rice was ok, and it came with some very tasty green salsa. Yummy !

Been here a couple of times since they opened and they are not what they used to be meat has no taste and it's dry
Friendly staff and great food. If you enjoy authentic Mexican cuisine, this is the place to go.
