The restaurant overlooks the runway of Friedrichshafen Airport and is next to the gigantic hangar of the modern Zeppelin NT (New Technology) airships. Only a network (with small windows for taking pictures) divides it from the operations of airplanes and airships. On nice days, eating...at outdoor tables is a real pleasure, especially for flight enthusiasts. The interior salons are elegant, with many beautiful photos of the glorious airships of the past, born in this city. The food is tasty, with a fairly good variety. We where looking for a place to have dinner close to the FN airport and found the Zeppelin Hangar. When we saw it form outside we had different feelings and also the entree from the building is not very welcoming but...! The atmosphere in the...restaurant was very cozy and nice done. The food perfect from the starter over the perfect prepared steak and desserts. Portions maybe a little bit big but this is personal. Service was very friendly and attend. Really worth to go
The table was booked for about people, so it was not a surprise for the restaurant, but we have been waiting for the food for hours! And after that almost half of steaks were cooked not the way people asked, somebody did not...get their sides even after double asking, tuna steak was good but super salted. So the meat is great, but our guess was this place is not a good idea for big companies
Not many places where you can dine on the edge of a grass field, where a real size Zeppelin airship is parked. Couple this with a selection of good, gourmet food, and the experience is even more appreciable. And don't miss the deserts ... they...are the ones that make the sweet (literally) topping of the cake (experience)..

The food was good and well priced....however the service was not up to par...especially the boss on duty created a terribly bad atmosphere with the employees. I worked in this business. I know that something like this is not acceptable
Excellent sweets and excellent dinner with very friendly staff. We highly recommend to have coffee and great cake or Apfelstrudel before your flight. When back don't rush, have dinner or Lunch and enjoy the experience
The place is nice and staff was quite busy, it was extremely hot inside and no one opened the window, I have to that by my self and everybody seated around thanked me for that. The food was very simple and not tasty
What a great view of seeing Zeplins taking off and landing close by. There was a good choice of food which came quite quickly after we ordered it by a very friendly waiter

Food was one of the best we have eating in this trip, while enjoying Zeppelin take-off/landing and hangaring at the end of the day
