This charming restaurant was outstanding from start to finish. It is reservation-only, but once you call, you will be introduced to Michele who provides amazing service. When you arrive, Michele will greet you and serve as your server, making you feel like a regular customer of many years. The food is delicious with generous portions, filled with homemade flavors. Chef Z runs the kitchen himself! We started with lavas bread with haydari and sautéed eggplant as an appetizer, and the bread was so good fresh out of the oven that we couldn't resist finishing it all. I had a fantastic experience at Zeytin. Both Z and Michelle, such a lovely couple, take their work very seriously. Everything was ver fresh and delicious. Lentil soup was amazing together with the fresh bread. Lamb was made medium perfectly and it was delicious along with the rice and sides. By the way, not many restaurants can make rice that well as if it was cooked at home just for few people. Then, I also had baklava made by Z. Now, the relative comparison part: because Zeytin was closed on Monday, I went to Bosphorus at their Winter Park location and it was a pretty bad experience. I had a mouth-watering and delicious meal at this restaurant, prepared with love and passion. The lentil soup and grilled eggplant were absolutely delightful!
