I genuinely wish I had taken photos, because our iftar experience at Zeytoon was unbelievably bad from beginning to end. We arrived fasting and it took far too long for anyone to acknowledge us. We tried to stay patient, thinking maybe they were understaffed, but the evening just kept getting worse. We asked for dates and soup to break our fast. The soup arrived after about ten minutes and it was literally just meat‑water in a tiny bowl with no flavour and nothing inside it. The dates didn’t come until we asked two more times. I visited Zeytoon Restaurant in Cricklewood with my cousins for iftar, and unfortunately it was a very disappointing experience from start to finish. The service was very poor. We waited a long time for our food, and everything was served very late, which is especially unacceptable at iftar time when people are fasting and expect food to be ready on time. To make things worse, we were told that they had run out of bread, which is a very basic item and should never happen during a busy iftar service. Fantastic experience from start to finish. The service was brilliant and the staff were genuinely friendly and welcoming, which makes all the difference. Portion sizes are very generous without compromising on quality, and the presentation of the dishes was spot on. You can tell real care goes into both the food and the customer experience. Will definitely be returning
Great service and amazing food. Highly recommend the Joojeh Makhsoos. Both chicken and lamb skewers were so juicy, fresh, and meltingly mouthwatering.
