We're a fan of the hotel, the brass and the hotel bar, all very good quality/quality relationship. The restaurant fell badly on that one this time. This restaurants serves really good food. I know van der Valk from Holland because I'm Dutch. In Holland Van der Valk is a big name. We had dinner at ZiZou and the quality is so much better than the Dutch van der Valks. I had the carpaccio for starters with truffle dressing, fantastic! Main course was the shortrib with lobster. Great, great, great. Interior of restaurants is also very nice! Highly recommendable!
Van der Valk Hotel is just 10 minutes from the airport by car and about 2 minutes from the motorway exit. The rooms and the ambience are modern and clean. On the top floor there is a sauna for free use for hotel guests. The only negative is that the service in the restaurant is a little mean. If it's full, you need to plan long waiting times.
