The ânoise levelâ was because of the music. Walked into foul-mouthed rap music, rather than Mexican music. The music stayed on loud rap and rock for the two hours we were there. Server said it was because it was âhappy hourâ. Food is always excellent, and service is always excellent. Just donât understand how management could allow that type of music. My wife and I had to talk loudly over it. I am a rock lover, but it is not appropriate for that setting.
They were probably short staffed, but the service was very sporadic and it took a while to get my food. I wasn't asked if I wanted to get a drink first. I felt like I had to track down an available server. I've had great service before, but this was subpar service in my opinion. My food and drink were very good.
I had a fantastic time at Zocalo's. Even though my reservation time on OpenTable changed last minute, it was not a problem at all. The staff at the restaurant were all very friendly and attentive. The food and margaritas were delicious.

The attentive staff, stunning ambiance, and delectable dishes made for a memorable birthday celebration with our family at this restaurant. The Kids Menu offered a wide variety of options and was just perfect for the little ones.
I had an early business dinner, reservations for 4 were 5:00. Not much going on that early on a Wednesday, service and food were fantastic. Going to take my wife to the one in Roseville.
The food and service were fantastic! I celebrated my birthday with my family and even my 5-year-old grandson was impressed and wants to have his birthday party here in August.
