After one and a half years living in this little rural village, I learned that there was a restaurant serving typical Réunion Island food just down main street. Yeah, I know... but it's better late than never, right? And in this case, I have to say: WOW! The owner is the chef and he assures the service with his 17 year old son. They are both extremely nice, polite, welcoming and you can feel they enjoy what they do and are proud of their origins (and so they should!). As starters we chose beef samosas and a mixed platter... but we realized it was a mistake. Not that they were not good, no; on the contrary. The issue was, as main course we chose the "at will" buffet, where we had five dishes to choose from or eat from as much as we wanted... and we couldn't eat much anymore! All five dishes proposed were extremely good and the chili sauce was great so, we will definitely be going back! :D
