This really small and old town is really beautiful especially the ancient inner city and there in this centre there lies this beautiful restaurant. My family and I went there often for having a nice dinner. I like the interior with the old agriculture gears on the wall and massive wooden tables and chairs inside.The personnel is very kind and give good recommendation on food and drinks which are special on this day or time or which is totally new.Wouldn't be the price so high I would even go there more often when I'm in town!

Had a lovely traditional meal from the area with friends.Good value for money including an English menu which very much surprised us.The staff were very attentive and tried to help us with our meal selection. As the restraunt is in an area not visited by tourists we were well received. We took the opportunity to visit the Erfurt Christmas market some 20Km from Arnstad, this is a must see attraction including the two very impressive Cathedrals. We have also visited Erfurt in the summer and would also recommend a visit.

burgkeller has taken a lot of critical remarks here. my first visit to burgkeller was 2016 and I wrote a pretty positive review. now, post the pandemic, it is obvious that the overall quality has gone a bit down. the lunch for 15 people with one group was galanically guided. nothing imaginative cooking, but the kitchen must be believed to serve warm and quite fresh dishes simultaneously to the whole group.

"No frills" place to eat genuine and well cooked classic Thüringer food. Simple dishes of the "home cooked" kind. Nice and friendly staff. Recommended for lunch.

Very nice restaurant. When you like fish you are at the right adres here. Service is good. Also good for local food.
