Very good food, all fresh.The one right is somewhat old-fashioned but that makes the friendly staff back up.The hygiene area was super equipped with different soaps hairspray hygiene articles etc. There is a bowling alley and you can eat outside either in the beer garden or on the main street. Due to the traffic-smoothed area there it is not too loud.Short-term reservation was also possible.A star trigger because the chairs are already very through. Nachdem wir unser Zimmer bezogen hatten war Abendessen angesagt. Im Lokal "Zum Fässchen" gibt es eine kleine, aber feine Karte. Meine Wahl fiel auf eine "Schwedische Flusskrebssuppe" und ein Stadtsoldatenschnitzel.Die Suppe war lecker, aber definitiv zuviel. Meine Frau entschied sich für einen Salatteller. Was dann geliefert wurde, war gigantisch. Einzig darüber, was ein großes Bier ist, wurden wir uns mit der Kellnerin nicht einig ;-) 0,3 ist definitiv nicht GROSS. Ist im Rheinland aber überall so und die Sprüche waren auch eher als Spaß gemeint.Wir würden definitiv immer wieder hier einkehren.

After a few disappointing asparagus meals in other locations this season I tried to give Zum Fässchen a shot.It was the best decision that day.Superbly prepared asparagus came along with a delicate thin pork Schnitzel, boiled potatoes and sauce Hollandaise. Service was friendly, fast and humorous. The place was busy for a Wednesday evening I guess. No wonder.

Andrea and Otto together with the team convey a very welcoming atmosphere. You feel welcome and therefore very comfortable. Food and beverages are natural but also influenced by Austrian and Swedish influences. Excellent carving with delicious side dishes. A guest house where you can get in, stay and get in touch. Das Fässchen in Meckenheim ist sehr bekannt, das Ambiente, Küche, Getränke sind sehr gut, man fühlt sich hier wohl
