Franziskaner is an authentic Bavarian restaurant in the heart of Munich. The Happy Bavarians were only booked a few days ago in the beautiful König-Ludwig Hall for a Bavarian evening with VIP guests. The waiters have taken care of the welfare of international guests (and also our musicians). The food was very delicious and of the best quality. In addition to the König-Ludwig Saal, there is also the beautiful courtyard garden (as an indoor garden), which is an original and cozy place for Bavarian events. Thank you very much and we look forward to our next performance at the Zum Franziskaner .
Went here 4 times during our stay in Munich. The food is excellent, the service was quick and friendly and the prices are more than justified. The fact that they offer a weekly menu with less expensive but still incredibly tasty options is great for every traveler on a budget. It’s very much a granny’s family recipes kind of vibe, can’t help but love it.
It was a good opportunity to try the local dishes in Bavaria.. The food is acceptable, the restaurant is well equipped and the service is fast.. The variety of items offered is few, the main dependence is on pork … beef options are few and...there is no chicken.. The general atmosphere is good, the workers are helpful and the prices are average
Great experience on the 1st floor, 10 of us looked very well through the team, including our vegan member of the party. Good traditional cuisine in a beautiful atmosphere. And of course great beer!!

Nobody came to pick up my order. When I stood up and asked someone, he said “I’m sorry I can’t help you. We are busy. “. Excuse me? Also acting like he didn’t speak a word of English.
the waiter picks up the order and forgets a court, I ask for a blond beer, get a dark and an rude reaction when I ask after the ordered question, miserable in view of the paid price.
we had a great meal in the french, which is perfectly located near the city center. all staff were very friendly and attentive. eating was excellent, just like the wine.
The location is the best, the atmosphere is pleasant, but the food is average. OK for a single visit, but only the most hardened locals eat there regularly.
