Zum Goldenen Einhorn

First of all we live near by Düsseldorf and when we visit it we mostly make our lunch in this pub, cause it have a extraordinary homelike atmosphere, which is given by the mix of selected accessories, friendly service and the normal feeling for a pub. In addition to that it have a nice location in the center of the old town directly on the Ratinger Straße, which is specially famous for his good pubs. Finally I would recommend the tasty and giant cakes, which are baked by a bakery only for this pub and we always rejoice for the next time we visit it.

in irregular intervals, I've been haunting the unicorn and I've never been disappointed. this time we chose the salat with lachstripe and dried tomatoes and the gulasch with late zle from the tagskarte. both was very tasty, the service flott and friendly. the service behind the theke had good mood and fun, which is also good at the gas. the ambiente is more rustic, but just fits super. also the cake is recommended. huge pieces that can be packed and enjoyed at home. all in all again a round and tasty stay.

Not much to say really other than this is the kind of gastropub cozy enough to stay and chat after having drunk the usual few on a night out. One of my favorite places in old town, serving decent food for reasonable prices. Service could be nicer least yesterday when were here for carnival, but still a good choice and absolute recommendation for next year!

A shame I didn't get to have a beer here, but it was too early. Has a nice beer garden, and a really nice traditional feel about it. A classic German pub. Coffee not bad either.

Was great, but not being from the country, and not knowing it was cash only before the meal, made the experience more stressful
