I dined here because michelin gave this place a recommendation with a fork, meaning " a place with charm." It was a busy Saturday night crowd, all locals. There was plenty of parking as it's located out in the sticks. The food was traditional Bavarian. Had a pork knuckle, only cost 8,90 euros. The atmosphere was lively, the service was a bit distant, even by German standards. Perhaps it was because I was obviously out of place (again, full of locals). The value was great though because the portions were large and the price was low.
If you want a real Bavarian experience, this is the place for you. It's quite charming. We went on a Wednesday night, and the tables were filled. It is a family run restaurant and you feel a part of the family when you enter. The food was traditional fare. I had the veal in mushroom sauce and others at the tablet had the duck, the ham leg, beef and even a shrimp salad. Everyone enjoyed their selections.
This is a typical Bavarian restaurant. The interior is very typical, so is the food selection. We had the duck and the beef filet, both were very tasty and the prices are more than reasonable. For two main courses and three beers, we only paid 40 Euros. Our waitress was very friendly and brought us an English menue as soon as she heard us speak in English.
very cozy, Bavarian restaurant...with super nice services, a very primitive and pointed Bavarian cuisine. the menu is written in Bavarian mouth type and there are nix exotic but tasty Bavarian tasty in large portions. without reservation almost no place to get! we always like to come.
