We immersed ourselves in the ambience to enjoy a wonderful mulled wine. The outside of the restaurant already promised cosiness and invitation the evening before. Tuesday seems to be restaurant owners Sunday in the Harz region. Most restaurants were closed. So we ended up in Zum Kachelofen which actually is in Hahnenklee. From the outside the restaurant looks quite nice, as well as from the inside, cosy wood everywhere. The waitress was attentive and we enjoyed her service. The price for half a liter of beer was stiff with 3,95€.Having been told by the waitress that the Schnitzel is frozen, we went for something else and ordered a steak – which was huge and not too bad – and a Hirtenpfanne, shepards pan. what was unusual for us more towns: in hahnenkklee the kitchen remains cold everywhere from 20:30. kindly, we had 12 people but also when we arrived at 20:40 clock not starved, but culinaryly pampered. suitable for the region, found the carving with resinous cheese overbaked great sound, but also the others were thoroughly good. we were then back in the following evening and were not disappointed: nice service and delicious food. unfortunately I did not manage to taste the wind bag :(

Spiste Hähnchenbrustfilet Hawaii og min kjære spiste Rotbarsch. Maten var helt greit, passe mengde og rimelig kjapt servert. Betjeningen var våken, oppmerksom og vennlig. Prisene er midt på treet. We went there for dinner with our children over Christmas. We were very satisfied. The staff was very nice, the food was ready quickly (which is great for impatient children). We felt very comfortable and came home well-fed. Gladly again Price per person: €30–40 Food: 4

Vi fik en capuccino - der desværre snarere var en latte. Min datter fik en kugle jordbæris (meget stor og svarede nok til 2). Ialt ca. 4 euro. Sødt hjælpsomt personale der slet ikke talte engelsk.
