"Great place, Italian restaurant, food is good,service is great. We will be back"
This restaurant is one of the most comfortable and cozy places to eat and relax in Gießen. The pizza always seems to hit the spot and the menu is full of numerous choices. We made reservations which appeared to be unnecessary, but were told that during the Christmas season that a Sunday evening is considered slow. The appetizer of mozzarella, tomatoes and basil is delightful and was very fresh. The wine list is comprised only of Italian varieties. The wait staff is attentive, approachable, and helpful. Pricewise very reasonable. Das Restaurant ist wohl sehr gemütlich und die Pizzas schmecken. Leider wird nur italienischer Wein angeboten. Trotzdem ist das Restaurant empfehlungswert.
I travel solo, a great deal. I am sensitive that during busy times, many restaurants may not want singles occupying their tables. But when I approached Zum Loewen, there were several vacant tables. Nonetheless, the wait staff made it clear that they did not want to serve me. I stayed because I noticed another patron enjoying the mussels, and they looked darn good. Well I got the mussels, and a beer and it was darn good. So I would give them five for food and one for service, they netted a three.
Wer sehr gut essen möchte; Wer guten angenehmen Service erleben möchte; Wer für dieses Paket angemessene Preise bezahlen möchte ist im Löwen an der richtigen Adresse. Ich freue mich schon auf meinen nächsten Besuch.
Die Pizzen waren lecker. Die Lasagne war nicht ganz mein Geschmack, aber auf keinen Fall schlecht. Die Bedingung war freundlich. Preislich ist es eher teurer als bei anderen Italienern.

Wunderschön erhaltenes historisches Fachwerkhaus in Giessen, wo schon Goethe zu Besuch war, hier auch heute noch Gastronomie mit angesagter italienischer Küche!
4 of us had dinner here. We all ordered jager snitzzel and we all agreed it was excellent. Will definitly be returning for same again. Good value €10:50.
Leckerer Italiener, selbst Goethe war schon hier. Bedienung freundlich und Essen kann zügig. Die Qualität war auch absolut okay. Gerne wieder
Great place to have a chat with the boys, but the service was a little slow to take our orders or at the moment of pay
