This restaurant is set in a fabulous little village in the Black Forest with nice walks. In fine weather tables are set up in the garden with sun umbrellas. We ate inside as the weathe was good but unpredictable.Tables ares et with crisp linen tablecloths and napkins. Staff are dressed in old german traditiona clothing. Ladies wore long dresses. The restaurant is full of character. We were there for Sunday Lunch. We started wth an Elderflower Prosecco as we perused the menu. Gorgeous. There was a big range of choices for each course. There was no set menu. All items were priced seperately. Starters were approx €13 and main courses were approx €25 and desserts approx €9. The starters were large and main courses not so large. Beautiful presentation and attention to detail. |I had a beef carpaccio which was melt in the mouth for starter and pork medallion with a creamy mushroom sauce for mains and a pannacotta with mint ice cream and a berry compote for dessert...beautiful.Staff are friendly and service is very good. The rest rooms were spotless. You can stay there also quite reasonably and they organise themed eating events..e.g June was Lobster month Was there one other time and it was equally as good.
