Zum lustigen Steirer, Heilbronn

Popped in after a long walk along the river bank, very nice happy owner greeted us we sat at the bar had a few Gosser Austrian beers, asked if they had any nuts or snacks, he laughed and he would ask the kitchen to knock a snack up! after a few more Gosser's we had a huge sausage on a wooden platter delivered to us with mustard and bread oh plus what he said was grated cheese! turned out to be grated raw horseradish, raw was so hot, he laughed so load as he saw our faces! The lady owner told us to sniff the dark bread and the burning in out throats noses just stopped. lovely little Austrian bistro and bar very welcoming owners.

we love the steirer - these are full blood gastronomics - eating is freshly prepared and so it takes a bit longer, but if it bothers? the emperor is best ordered with and a portion of it is easy for 4-6 people. and the weeping is always a fun and revitalized. We like this original and cozy atmosphere. respect is appropriate - and perhaps you should not just put the visit on a hot summer evening.

A tucked away Gem in the beautiful city of Heilbronn. Family run authentic Austrian restaurant. All ingredients are sourced from Austria. Veal Schnitzel is outstanding. Best I have had anywhere!! Its like having a home cooked family dinner. 5 stars plus

Great Austrian food with huge portions. The schnitzel is amazing (the best I've had in Germany). However, the kraut salad is by far the star of the show. I went back to Steirer this trip just to get more kraut salad.

We went to eat there on Saturday. The restaurant was rather desert. At the entrance we have been very unfriendly shouted that we decided not to dinner.
