Zum Stahl - Reservar una mesa

Man kommt, weil man bei schönem Wetter in einen Biergarten gehen will. Und tritt man durch die Eingangspforte, ist man sich sicher, den richtigen Ort gewählt zu haben: Schöne Kastanien, heller Kies, Tische mit Klappstühlen - passt! Doch halt, bevor man sich hinsetzt, muss man (zumindest beim ersten Besuch) "lernen", dass man es hier mit einem "besonderen" Konzept zu tun hat: Die gedeckten Tische sind den Besuchern des Restaurants vorbehalten, Biergarten ist dort, wo die Tische blank sind. So weit, so gut. Kompliziert wird es allerdings, wenn man bspw. aus "beiden Welten" auswählen möchte - oder wenn die Kinder gesehen haben, dass es Pommes gibt und man diese auch am Restauranttisch haben möc...

Gasthaus zum Stahl has a great outdoor seating area, but you need to reserve in advance, this place is popular! There is also a self-service area on one side of this outdoor area where you can usually find a place for sitting and ordering the counter. Not a quick snack, but in that direction, I guess. Anyway, we were served by the Gasthaus staff. No problems with all service was fast and accurate and the food was very good. The prices seemed typical for the region. The menu was extensive and had many of the regional favorites, but also some other continental dishes. Recommended.

We recently spend two weeks in Freiburg and on our first night we found this restaurant/beer garden just a few minutes from our apartment. How convenient, we thought! We sat outside in the beer garden on the service side . But there was no service! Three...waiters stood at the door but paid no attention. It took us more than 30 minutes to order a beer. I asked for the menu but did not get any. So we left the place hungry! We didn 't return. Fortunately there are many nice places to eat in Freiburg where you really get som service!

Went midweek for lunch with friends and their family and all 6 of us were satisfied with what we had ordered. My pumpkin pancake with mushroom filling was delicious. There was only one waitress on the ground, but she did a good job... all customers. Would like to return on a summer day if we can sit outside. There were enough parking spaces on the street that have a great advantage in Freiburg

We visited this restaurant several times, now everything was fine: fresh salads, good food, wine, service- we were satisfied! Prices are moderate.
