We've recently been here for my goddaughters christening. We've been sat in a separate room, so that we could celebrate without being disturbed. We had our own waiters, so that (in theory at least) there was always someone looking after us. Unfortunately this was not...always the case. Glasses had been filled, but somehow the waitress seemed to miss out on the ladies and only re-filled the guys glasses. But other than that it was a pleasant afternoon. Food was good, even though portions were a bit on the small side, especially for the guys. Not sure it is worth the money, but it certainly was good.
We were there for the first time due to good recommendations. The food was ok/good, but had not nearly the taste class I expect for this price. The service/collector was related to Beverages not very attentive we all had only 1 drink and were all actually ready to drink even more. In addition, one had clearly the feeling of being a new guest second class who was known, got faster and attentive operation. We're not. I think it takes too long between the corridors, especially without drinks, then dry. We're not coming back. Nevertheless, all the good continues.
This restaurant is a must every time I visit Zweibruecken. I was only there for 3 mights this time but ate there twice! The food is truly excellent and worthy of a Michelin rating. Fresh local produce is used throughout the menu and the wine...list is a veritable tour through the local regions. The chef/owner and his wife make you feel very welcome and are happy to accomodate any special requests you may have. The menu changes with seasons and it is a delight to look at their website from time to time just to see the wonderful food which is on offer.
We lived some years in Zweibrücken and we went to the "Storchennest" from the very beginning. We love the family atmosphere! The Krücks have a small selection of food, it's not too pricey but it's worth every cent. Let them recommend a good wine to your meal, you will not regret it! I especially remember the asparagus season (Christoph made asparagus parfait! with strawberries). Delicous!During our living in Zweibrücken the "Storchennest" had been the only family-friendly restaurant we met. The only restaurant worthy of this title.

Just a block from the Rosengarten Hotel is an exceptional restaurant. The service was perfect. The chef came out to greet us and asked if we'd enjoy a plate made special, showed us some gorgeous mushrooms, and even slected the wine. The setting was intimate...and warm, quiet and comfortable. Not inexpensive, but worth every euro.
