The Alte Mühle is known in Pforzheim and its surroundings as a secret tip for well-kept fish food. It is located on the road to the resort Dobel, drive over a small bridge, here the Eyach flows past fishing ponds with trout in all sizes. .The owners of the restaurant operate a large trout breeding. The inn itself was renovated about 20 years ago with all luxury, a large rotating mill wheel makes a cozy ambience. On July 2, 2022 I ordered a table for 4 people. The food was good, you can't complain. What is not possible was: I ordered 3 glass of wine á 0,25 for 3 x 6,50 €. The service recommended to take a bottle of 0.75 of the same wine. I agreed because I (as usual in other locals) assumed that the price will be the same. As it turned out during the payment, the bottle costs 38,00 €!!! Guys, never order a bottle of wine here. This is not about €18.50 that we have paid for nix, it is basically about whether customers can be zoomed. Perhaps the consumer protection authority should deal with the case?
The Old Mill was a truly unique experience! The ambience was charming and cozy, and the staff was very friendly and attentive. The food was delicious and was prepared with great attention to detail. I was particularly impressed by the variety of menus and the selection of regional dishes. The Old Mill definitely has a special place in my heart and I can hardly wait to return to it!"
It was a good meal, it was all right from appetizers to the main dish to dessert! And our service Lili, was very attentive and very friendly.
